Update December 2017
We are on-track (thanks to support from Ocean Housing who supplied us with builders and decorators) to open the front of the building by 5th February 2018. We are hopeful that our first tenants will move in then and that we will have a computer room available for use by the local job club, debt advice services and others who need a small space for meetings, etc.
- Monday 8th Jan Friday 12th Jan
- Monday 15th Jan Friday 19th Jan
- Monday 22nd Jan Friday 26th Jan
The building will be open between 9am and 5pm on these days. If you would like to come and give us a hand, even for part of a day, that would be great. You must be reasonably fit and agile as the work will be repetitive and likely to involve some stretching, lifting and carrying. You must be over 16 years old and wear your own old clothes suitable for decorating. Tea and biscuits will be provided, but please bring your own lunch if you intend to come a whole day. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Kevin Marsh on 01208 873 166 so we can get an idea of volunteer numbers.
Building work will continue on the First Floor during January and February. We then hope to have another blitz of volunteer decorating in March, so that the whole of Cornubia can be made ready for use from the 1st May 2018. If anyone is interested in hiring spaces in Cornubia, they can make a booking by calling Sally on 01726 812710 or emailing email@example.com
